Plaster & Render Beads
Standard Angle Bead
Manufactured to BS6452, part 1, 1984 figure 1 from galvanised mild steel to BS2989 grade Z2, angle bead provides a straight arris that will not easily crack and reinforces the plasterwork where it is most needed. The expanded metal wings provide an excellent mechanical key for most types of plaster.
The bead is simple and quick to fix by the plasterer. On most backgrounds this can be carried out by using plaster dabs at suitable centres. Where the bead has to be fixed to the metal lath, it is recommended that they should be joined by wire. Where cutting is required, this should be carried out using a hacksaw and tin snips. If a bead has to be joined, then galvanised nails should be used. Angle bead is supplied in three standard lengths: 2.4 metre, 2.7 metre and 3 metre, in boxes of 50 lengths.
Standard Angle Bead
Manufactured to BS6452, part 1, 1984 figure 5 from galvanised mild steel to B52989 grade Z2. Thincoat bead is primarily used for plasterboard applications to give a 3mm thincoat finish. Supplied in three standard lengths: 2.4 metre, 2.7 metre and 3 metre, in boxes of 50 lengths.

Minimesh Thincoat Bead
Manufactured to BS6452, part 1, 1984 figure 2 from galvanised mild steel to BS2989 grade Z2, this bead is ideal to use wherever a finished plaster edge is required.
Fixing is similar to angle bead with plaster dabs or a suitable galvanised nail.
Plasterstop is supplied in two standard lengths: 2.4 metre and 3 metre, in boxes of 50 lengths to suit render depths of 3mm, 10mm, 13mm, 16mm and 20mm.
Movement bead combines the features of the expanded wing or perforated wing stop bead with a purpose made PVC extrusion to provide a 6mm movement in the plaster or render. It is not intended to cope with structural movement. Supplied in 3 metre lengths only, in cartons of 15 lengths. Available in three material options: galvanised, epoxy coated galvanised and stainless steel, to suit render depths of 10mm, 13mm, 16mm and 20mm.
Movement Bead (Expansion Joint)
Used to provide a 3mm plaster stop to plasterboard and to protect the edge of the board at this vulnerable point. Supplied in 10mm, 13mm and 15mm sizes all in 3 metre lengths.
Plasterboard Edging Bead
Plasterboard Edging Bead
Similar to movement bead but the 90° angle is used to internal corners, Supplied in 3m lengths to suit 13mm plaster or render. Available in three material options: galvanised, epoxy-coated and stainless steel.
Internal Corner Movement Bead
Manufactured from galvanised mild steel to BS2989 grade Z2, this bead is the perfect way to achieve a neatly formed ''bell cast'' where the rough casting stops at the junction of facing brickwork or plain bases.
It is easily fixed using masonry nails and also helps to support the bell cast in the early stages. External Renderstop is supplied in two standard lengths. 2.4 metre and 3 metre.
External Renderstop Bead
Manufactured from galvanised mild steel to BS2989 GRADE z2, Architrave bead is designed to form a plasterstop and shadow gap. With return flange, it is ideal for abutting steel and timber door frames, and without a return flange, it is ideal for fitting into the rebate of door frames. The recess can be painted the same as the wall or even a contrasting colour.
Manufactured from galvanised mild steel to BS 2989 grade Z2. These beads form a neat ''shadow gap"in plaster work are for use in dry lining applications.
Drywall Engaging and Abutting
This range of render beads has been specifically designed to overcome the problems caused by extremely harsh conditions such as some coastal locations, swimming pools etc. or where drying out of the render is likely to be prolonged. Suitable for use in external situations.
The beads are manufactured from austenitic stainless steel to BS1449, part 2 1983 grade 304S15.
Stainless Steel Render Beads
This range of beads is manufactured from galvanised steel and then electrostatically coated with an epoxy finish. Used to provide extra resistance to corrosion, the product is suitable for use with virtually any render finish, internal or external.
The standard stock range includes angle bead and plasterstop in 10mm, 13mm, 16mm and 20mm depths, and external renderstop.
This bead is manufactured from galvanised steel, with a purpose made PVC extrusion to provide a protected corner for render work.
Designed to suit 20mm external render work. Packed in bundles of 15 lengths.
Heavy Duty External Angle Bead
This bead is manufactured from galvanised steel , with a purpose made PVC extrusion to provide a protected nose for 20mm render stops. Packed in bundles of 25 lengths.
Heavy Duty External Stop Bead
This bead is manufactured from galvanised steel, with a purpose made PVC extrusion to provide protected nose bell casts.
Packed in bundles of 25 lengths.
