It is recommended that 30 x 3.75mm square twisted galvanised nail to be used in all holes provided.

(z2) with 6mm pre-punched holes. Available in two thickness’s; Heavy duty for
horizontal restraint and light duty for vertical restraint. When ordering, please specify the overall length of the strap and then specify the position of the bend or twist.
Stocked range from 600 to 2000mm in increments of 100mm.
Girder Truss Shoes
Manufactured from 1mm thick hot dipped galvanised mild steel to BS2989 grade G275 (z2) coating for truss to truss connections at girders or truss beams. Multi-Purpose Strapping
Manufactured from hot dipped galvanised mild steel to BS2989 grade G275 (z2) coating and
pre-punched to take up to 6mm diameter nails, screws or bolts.
Door Frame Cramps
Produced from 25 x 2.5mm galvanised mild steel, these ties are ideal for fixing door and window frames to brick or blockwork. One end is safe-ended for building in, and the other has two holes in the 50mm upstand to accommodate screws. Available from stock in galvanised and also stainless steel, and can be used with a debonding sleeve if required.

Heavy duty joist hangers for timber to brick applications are manufactured from 2.5mm thick mild steel and galvanised after. Safe working loads depend upon the strength of the supporting brick or block work. New masonry should be allowed to mature before load is applied. It is recommended that at least 450mm of masonry should be above the flange of the hanger, and the backplate of the hanger should be flat against the vertical masonry.
N.B Actual depth of hanger will be 10mm less than stated to allow the joist to be notched out.

Joist depth: 100mm, 125mm, 150mm, 175mm, 200mm, 225mm and 250mm

When ordering type 'R' or type 'ST' hangers, please specify width of brick or blockwork to be straddled.
